Please join us on February 17 at 7:00 P.M. for some laughs and donuts before we head into the season of Lent.

Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, February 18th. Our service for this day will begin at 7:00 pm and include the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion. While there will be no meal on this day, each of the following Wednesdays will include a meal starting at 6:00 pm. This will be followed by our worship service at 7:00 pm. This year’s theme is “Modern Reflections, Timeless Virtues” and will use skits to explore the topics of grace, acceptance, praise, forgiveness, and sacrifice. We are looking for volunteers to help perform the short skits. There is a sign-up sheet in the hallway if you would like to help. There are also sign-up sheets to help set up and clean up for the meals as well as sign-ups to bread, soup or a casserole.

Gentleman, please join us on Friday February 27th at 6:00 P.M. for our Annual Oyster Dinner.  Please bring your significate other and a covered dish.  We will enjoy a dinner of fried oysters, fried chicken, potluck dishes, fellowship and laughter.  A sign-up sheet can be found in the hallway.  This event will be a food drive to support the Summer Lunch Program.  Items needed include pizza sauce, peanut butter, jelly, boxes of instant vanilla or chocolate pudding, boxes of Jello, applesauce, fruit cups, juice, juice boxes or monetary donations.
